Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine within the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). This faculty position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the education and mentorship of future veterinarians in a collaborative and student-centered academic environment.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will participate in teaching across the DVM curriculum in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Responsibilities may include:
- Didactic instruction in assigned subject area(s)
- Clinical and/or laboratory teaching
- Student mentoring and academic advising
- Curriculum development and assessment
- Participation in committee service and scholarly activity consistent with faculty rank
- Specific teaching assignments will be aligned with the candidate’s area of expertise and institutional needs.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine in good professional standing OR PhD in a related biomedical or veterinary science field
Preferred Qualifications
- MS, PhD, and/or specialty board certification
- Prior teaching or instructional experience
- Clinical experience relevant to veterinary professional education
- Evidence of scholarly or research activity
