- Associate Equine Veterinarian
Description
Countryside Equine Hospital is growing, and we’re excited to welcome a new Associate Veterinarian to our team. If you’re looking for a progressive, team-oriented practice that values high-quality equine medicine and the relationships we build with our customers, we’d love to meet you. Our mission is simple: to redefine excellence in veterinary care. From elite sport horses to beloved pasture pets, we work hard to support the health, performance, and longevity of every horse we serve.
We understand that when a customer reaches out to us, it’s often on one of their worst days. Our goal is to go above and beyond to make their day better— providing not only expert care but also comfort and clarity during an overwhelming time.
We are currently a three-doctor practice supported by a fantastic team of dedicated staff members. We are proud to serve our customers both in the field through our ambulatory services and at our fully-equipped hospital in Covington. Our doctors also enjoy a varied caseload involving advanced internal medicine workups, emergency care, sports medicine, podiatry, and dentistry.
All of our ambulatory vehicles are prepared to deliver high-quality care in the field, offering portable diagnostics including digital radiography, ultrasonography, and stall-side testing of lactate, insulin, and serum amyloid A (SAA).
Our hospital provides a surgical suite, padded recovery stall, 9-stall barn, three treatment rooms, and expanded in-house laboratory capabilities such as CBC and chemistry testing. We are committed to utilizing advanced technology— including endoscopy, shockwave and laser therapies, and modern surgical equipment such as Tenex— to provide comprehensive care.
We’re looking for a veterinarian who is committed to practicing a higher-standard of veterinary medicine in a supportive, collaborative environment and who truly values educating and connecting with customers. We offer a competitive base salary with a production-based bonus structure. For 35 years, our doors have remained open, proudly providing 24/7/365 emergency services. Our doctors’ schedules are based on a 4-day work week with on-call responsibilities shared among our associate veterinarians.
Benefits include:
- Fully stocked practice vehicle
- AAEP, AVMA, and GVMA dues paid
- Health insurance
- Paid vacation/sick time (minimum two weeks)
- No limit on CE, paid in full by Countryside— your continuing education is a priority
- Malpractice and liability insurance
- 401K with company matching
If you’re passionate about equine medicine, enjoy working with a close-knit team, and value meaningful customer relationships, we’d love to talk with you.
