- Part-Time Associate Veterinarian
Description
Central Bucks Veterinary Hospital is a growing, privately owned small animal practice located in the highly sought-after town of Doylestown, Pennsylvania – nestled in the heart of Bucks County, surrounded by rolling farmland and just minutes from the Delaware River.
Founded in 2023, our hospital was intentionally designed to remain small (a maximum of four doctors) while building and retaining an exceptional, high-performing team. As a family-owned practice, we offer an alternative to corporate medicine – one where veterinarians have autonomy, clinical freedom, and a meaningful voice in how medicine is practiced.
We have made significant investments in technology, diagnostics, and workflow to support veterinarians who enjoy being efficient, productive, and thorough. Our system is built for doctors who are comfortable moving between surgery and appointments, and who heavily utilize labwork, digital radiography, and ultrasonography to diagnose effectively and deliver excellent outcomes. Every hospital claims to practice high-quality medicine – but our reputation is built on results. Clients seek us out because we focus on identifying root causes and delivering customized, evidence-based medical and surgical care.
As private practice owners, we believe excellent medicine and a sustainable lifestyle are not mutually exclusive. Our days are structured so that when we are in the clinic, we are focused, supported, and productive. Because of this, it is rare that our team is not out the door within 30 minutes of closing. We value efficiency - not rushing - and we respect our team members’ time both inside and outside the hospital. Our system allows for 20-minute appointments, with approximately two surgeries scheduled between morning visits. We build in a one-hour midday break for lunch, call-backs, and catch-up time, and we accommodate emergency and drop-off urgent care appointments during regular business hours. We do not hospitalize patients after hours or offer any after-hours on-call services.
Due to rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced part-time veterinarian to support appointments and surgery 2-3 days per week, plus one Saturday per month. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who:
- Enjoys practicing high-quality, thoughtful medicine and using clinical judgment supported by diagnostic testing
- Is comfortable performing a wide range of soft tissue and dental surgeries
- Is efficient in appointments and comfortable leveraging lab work, radiographs, and ultrasonography to diagnose and treat
- Thrives in a fast-paced, well-organized environment
- Values working with a strong support team
- Holds themselves, their team, and clients accountable – with professionalism and respect
- Values collaboration, feedback, and continuous learning
- Is confident in their abilities while remaining committed to growth through reflection, open communication, and teamwork
- Wants to work alongside other “A-players” who share high standards and mutual respect
If this sounds like you, we’d love to connect! If it doesn’t, we may not be the right fit – and that’s okay.
As compensation for the right part-time associate, we offer:
- Guaranteed base salary, with additional earning opportunities based on productivity
- 401(k) with employer match
- Paid time off
- Continuing education allowance
- Paid AVMA membership dues
- Paid Pennsylvania veterinary license fees
- Paid professional liability insurance, including a license defense rider
- Pet care discounts
