Description
If you're looking for monotonous and predictable…
Keep looking.
If your dream career is discussing flea prevention eight hours a day…
This probably isn't your place.
If you'd rather perform surgery, work up a complicated cat medical case, pregnancy check cows, treat a backyard goat, fix a limping Labrador, and occasionally explain antibiotic withdrawal to owners of a chicken named Diva…
Welcome to Sinton Veterinary Clinic.
We're an independently owned, 2-doctor practice with approximately 80% small animal, 20% large animal, plus enough exotics to keep life interesting. We offer high-quality medicine and surgery to diverse clientele, laugh often, and believe veterinary medicine should challenge you—not consume your life. This position offers the opportunity to practice a broad scope of medicine while building lasting client relationships, leading an enthusiastic team, and help shape the future of animal health in a rural area.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys variety, values teamwork, communicates with empathy and professionalism, and is committed to continual learning and excellence.
Our doctors have the tools and support they want:
- Electronic medical records with integrated AI
- Modern in-house laboratory with AI capabilities
- Electronic Digital radiography
- Digital dental radiography
- Ultrasound
- Tonometry
- Modern anesthesia and surgical equipment
- Zero-tolerance policy for abusive client behavior
Schedule
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Our appointment-based schedule also accommodates walk-ins and drop-offs to provide excellent service while maintaining an efficient workflow.
An after-hours triage service handles the vast majority of emergency calls, resulting in minimal after-hours responsibilities.
You’ll obviously have:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
Eligibility for Texas veterinary licensure
DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to practicing high-quality medicine, surgery, and dentistry
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take ownership of your cases
You’ll thrive here if you:
Enjoy leading and mentoring newer team members, externs, and shadows. We value learning and growth!
Bring ideas to improve medicine, client experience, and business operations
Take ownership of your cases and communicate with confidence and compassion
Continually grow while helping shape the future
You'll practice in a collaborative environment where your ideas are encouraged, your professional growth is expected, and your personal life is valued.
We're looking for a veterinarian who wants to practice great medicine, enjoy coming to work, laugh with an exceptional team, make a meaningful impact in our community, and still have a life when they go home.
If that sounds like your kind of practice, we'd love to meet you.
Requirements
You're probably a great fit if you:
Have always wanted a pink office with pom poms and wild hog taxidermy with eyelash extensions.
Haven't thought twice about the concept that 'girls' can work cows.
Love practicing high-quality medicine and will demonstrate the clinical judgement and pursue the skills necessary to do so.
Can toss a bag of feed and carry a square bale.
Want an Employee Fitness Plan that involves horse trotting and flexing, dog hip luxation reduction calisthenics, acrobatics to avoid spicy heifers, dog nail trim restraint yoga, and a complimentary sauna access from May to September.
Enjoy variety. Actually, require variety! You can't imagine a life of nothing but flea control discussions, more flea control discussions, wait...what's that?!?...oh, never mind... it's another flea control discussion.
Value teamwork over ego. Seriously, egos get checked at the door. If we're not here to help our patients and clients, what are we here for?
Communicate honestly and respectfully. Prefer secrets and drama? Bye, Felisha!
Want to keep learning and teaching. Because if you really think you know everything, Murphy will absolutely find you.
Like building long-term client relationships. Animals don't come to the clinic by themselves. You like humans, and you want to help them with their critters.
Believe work should be meaningful—but not your entire life. Just 21.42857143% of it, give or take.
